Information for 2008/2009 School Year: We invite you to call the school at 301-977-5787 to leave a message for information or details regarding available openings remaining for September 2008. At this time, we have a few first-come, first served spaces in our Wednesday/Friday morning 9-11:30 a.m. class for 3 year olds and a few openings remaining for 4 year olds, three mornings 9-11:30 a.m. All other classes are filled. We are always happy to mail you a registration packet. School will close for the Summer at Memorial Day and re-opens after Labor Day. Please do not hesitate to email or leave a phone message. We guarantee a response within 3 business days over the summer. If you have an age eligible child, please call us at 301-977-5787 or email us at schooloffice@gppk.com for information about openings or to be placed on a waiting list. Eligibility for Entering School: GPP&K follows the age eligibility cut-off dates set by the state of Maryland for the entry of our children. Your child MUST turn 3 by September 1,the year that they begin school to be in a Three Year Class. Children MUST be 4 by September 1, to be placed in a Four Year Old Class and all children entering our State Approved Kindergarten Program MUST turn 5 by September 1, the year that they start Kindergarten For the 'Olders' classes, children must turn 3 by March 31st, to qualify for the M/W/F afternoon older 3's class. To enroll in the afternoon Pre-Kindergarten 'Older 4's' class children must turn 4 by March 31st. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE COMPLETELY TOILET TRAINED, NO DIAPERS, 'PULL-UPS', OR DISPOSABLE PANTS ARE ALLOWED IN SCHOOL. The Registration Process:A completed application form plus check payment (payable to 'GPP&K') for the NON-REFUNDABLE advanced tuition payment for May 2009 and $65 registration fee must accompany the application to secure a spot for your child. Children must have a completed medical exam and immunization form on file before the day they start Preschool or Kindergarten. The Preschool & Kindergarten does not discriminate on the basis of race, color or national origin, in the hiring of its staff or the registration of children. |
